Utec announces new products

May 18, 2023

Over the past few weeks, Utec has announced the arrival of several new products, including replacement cartridges, a dot matrix printer and most recently its “first to market” compatible chip for use with various Kyocera cartridges.

The most recent announcement was its new “first to market” for use in Kyocera TK-3400 series cartridges.

Utec also showcased a new range of compatible toner cartridges for use in KYOCERA ECOSYS PA6000x, KYOCERA ECOSYS MA6000ifx, KYOCERA ECOSYS PA5500x, KYOCERA ECOSYS MA5500ifx, KYOCERA ECOSYS PA5000x, KYOCERA ECOSYS PA4500x and KYOCERA ECOSYS MA4500fx/MA4500x devices as well as the relevant replacement chips to use with those cartridges.

More additions to Utec’s product range include compatible cartridges for us ein Canon i-SENSYS LBP223dw/226dw/228x/MF443dw/445dw/446X/449X/ and LBP226dw/LBP227dw/MF445dw /MF448dw devices.

The company’s copier cartridge range saw the addition of Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 2725i/2730i/2745i and Canon imageRUNNER Advance DX4825/4835/4845 printers.

Furthermore, the company announced the availability of replacement chips for use in Konica Minolta Konica Minolta bizhub C3120i and Konica Minolta bizhub C3100i devices.

Utec also introduced the PR-855, a fast and high-quality 24-pin, 85-column dot matrix printer from Print-Rite. The PR-855 is also an economical choice. It has low power consumption, using just 0.1W in sleep mode and 1.6W during operation. This printer has been certified by specialised energy agencies for its excellent energy efficiency. The ribbon yield of 5.0 million characters is also an impressive feature that helps save money.

The PR-855 has a 128 KB input data buffer memory that allows it to achieve high printing speeds of up to 300 characters per second at 10 CPI and 450 characters per second at 15 CPI. It can produce up to 1 original and 6 copies, with the last copy being just as clear and sharp as the first.

And finally, another announcement was made of newly introduced indelible inks, also known as permanent inks, which have emerged as a popular choice for printing supplies. They are designed to provide long-lasting prints that resist fading, water damage, and other forms of wear and tear. This makes them a valuable tool for printing applications where durability and longevity are essential.

Print-Rite said its specially formulated indelible ink provides an unrivalled level of security. Even when wiped with ethyl alcohol, the prints remain crisp and legible, leaving no room for doubt or tampering. Bid farewell to concerns about fading, fuzziness, or illegibility.
