More removal requests from Canon

Canon requested the removal of toner cartridges offered by FELIXMANIA S.L from Amazon Spain, by XIANSHIBEILINQUJINGLINGBAIHUODIAN via various European Amazon sites and by HBOYY from Amazon Canada.

Canon Inc. announced the filing of Report Infringement Forms with Amazon ES based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 2 of the Spanish portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 1 977 289 (“EP ‘289”) regarding the cartridge models CF380X, CC530A, CF210X and CE320A offered by FELIXMANIA S.L under the ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers) B017KUILLM, B016QMWQ48, B01700HE2Y and B016RYWXES.

Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products.

These products are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge models and provide inter alia a non-OEM housing and a non-OEM force receiving device according to claim 1 of EP ‘289. Furthermore, they comprise an elastic portion according to claim 2 of EP ‘289.

Canon also announced that it filed Report Infringement Forms with Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.it and Amazon.es based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 2 of the German, UK, Italian and Spanish portions of Canon’s European Patent EP 1 977 289 (“EP ‘289”) regarding certain models of toner cartridges offered by XIANSHIBEILINQUJINGLINGBAIHUODIAN under the following ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers).

In Canada, Canon filed an infringement report with Amazon.ca seeking the removal of an Amazon.ca listing for certain toner cartridges sold by HBOYY.

Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model CB540A, CB541A, CB542A and CB543A toner cartridges sold by HBOYY via Amazon.ca infringed Canon’s Canadian Patent no. 2,635,791. Canon requested the removal of the corresponding listings for these products, having Amazon Standard Identification Numbers B083F8ZVV3, B0832QBJXQ, B083WG76XH, B083R8WKTS, B083P4K7QF, B083NT8TC, B083NH7K4C, B083HC2STM, B0833V1SH6, B0833TSTQB, B0833TMHRN, B0833TY1WH, B0833VLY5N and B083H6XL21.

At the time of this announcement, the above-identified listings were no longer available on Amazon.ca.
