As 2022 opens up one of the unknowns is how will the office change? And delegates / visitors will hear first hand how the new normal will settle in.
Lexmark’s Head of Government Affairs Maxime Furkel has been announced as a speaker for The Recycler Live seminars at the Remanexpo product group of Paperworld 29 January to 1 February at the Remanexpo seminar theatre in Hall 4.0.
Furkel’s presentation “How can an EU funded project help to boost the circularity of the printing industry?” takes place on Monday 31 January at 14.00 and will overview European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
This presentation will look at the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, C-SERVEES and how it aims to boost a resource-efficient circular economy in the electrical and electronic sector through the development, testing, validation and transfer of new circular economic business models. Lexmark, one of the four demonstrators, will share its first learnings how to improve remanufacturing and refurbishment of printers and printer cartridges.
Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion $90 billion) of funding available over seven years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.
According to Stefanie Unland, The Recycler’s Editor and Publisher, “Sustainability is rising rapidly up the political agenda where reuse and remanufacturing are key tools needed to deliver the green agenda. For many of the industry visitors to Remanexpo, who are small business owners – this is a great opportunity to catch up on the latest developments”
