Cartridge World advocate colour printing

A newly-published blog by the retailer uses market research to advance the case for colour print.

Cartridge World have posted a new blog in which they examine the advantages of colour printing for small businesses.

Calling the evidence “conclusive”, the blog states that printing with colour adds “tremendous value” to SMBs in varied ways.

The common advantages listed by the retailer include enhanced professionalism’; competitive differentiation; improved readership; simplified comprehension; a strengthening of retention; an acceleration of receivables; and the ability for quicker search and retrieval by users.

It also uses the blog to promote its online Colour Challenge, challenging readers to attempt to tell the difference between a page printed using high-price printer brand toner and a page printed with Cartridge World’s own premium colour toner products. “Most people can’t tell the difference,” the blog asserts, “and there’s an opportunity to save up to 30% on every colour page you print.”

The blog also offers a selection of results from market research group Harris Interactive. The group’s study interviewed more than 2,000 people on the impact of printing colour documents, and Cartridge World calls the results “consistent with other research done on how colour documents make people more productive and businesses more profitable.”

The findings include the statistic that 56 percent of those surveyed claim to use colour printing to improve their professional appearance, whilst 25 percent use it to increase retention, and 21 percent use it to reduce search time.

Furthermore, 69 percent of respondents said they felt new ideas were easier to understand when presented in colour, with 54 percent admitting they are more likely to read a document or brochure if its printed in colour. Meanwhile, 43 percent confessed to being more inclined to pay a bill on time if the due date was highlighted in colour, whilst 31 percent said they were more likely to pay the full amount, if it were shown in colour.
