Lexmark named a manufacturing PaceSetter

January 7, 2019

Lexmark has announced it has been honoured with the prestigious 2018-19 BLI PaceSetter award for Manufacturing from Keypoint Intelligence-Buyers Lab.

Based on in-depth research conducted among participating document imaging OEMs and Keypoint Intelligence’s expert analysis of each vendor’s offerings for the target market, these awards recognise companies that offer the most impressive portfolios of hardware devices, software solutions, and technical and professional services for customers in the categories studied.

“The manufacturing vertical presents unique challenges when it comes to professional services and support but getting the hardware right is an especially tall order,” said Jamie Bsales, Director of Solutions Analysis for Keypoint Intelligence – Buyers Lab. “Lexmark impressed us with its breadth of MFP and printer offerings that can handle special needs such as creating RFID tags or GHS labels. And Lexmark devices are engineered to withstand the rigors of harsh manufacturing environments.”

Lexmark explains that the company’s manufacturing customers, including 70 percent of the top 50 manufacturers around the world, rely on the “rugged, industrial design” of Lexmark devices, which are used in “a wide range of environments and extreme conditions.”

“Lexmark has 25 years of experience helping manufacturers reduce costs and increase efficiencies,” said John Linton, Lexmark Industry Director, Retail and Manufacturing. “We’re proud to help manufacturers across the globe transform their business processes for better insight and control of their paper-based processes so they can make improvements that have an impact.”

In a 1.36 minute video released on Lexmark’s social media, Linton described the accolade as “a huge honour”, stating that, although “the manufacturing environment can be very harsh”, Lexmark intentionally engineers its devices to perform well in such conditions.
