Katun Europe introduces assortment of new products

September 30, 2020

Katun Corporation announced the introduction of new eco-friendly refurbished and remanufactured printers, supplies and parts to help dealers increase their profitability in Europe.

The company added new OEM-refill colour toner cartridges for use in Kyocera Mita TASKalfa 4052-series devices. All four colours, Cyan, Magenta, yellow and black are available. Katun said these refilled cartridges come “OEM-equivalent yields and image quality, along with cost savings”. These toner cartridges have been tested in Katun’s Research and Development laboratory in Minneapolis, Minnesota to ensure they meet its high quality standards.

Newly introduced parts include a replacement image transfer belt for Canon iR Advance C3300i-series machines, as well as CMYK replacement chips for use with Konica Minolta BIZHUB C3351 / C3851 / C3851 FS drum units.

Katun Europe also announced the expansion of their range of eco-friendly refurbished and remanufactured printers and the availability of a new video detailing the remanufacturing/refurbishment process.

The company explained that these devices perform and look like new printers and provide reliable performance thanks to stringent remanufacturing and refurbishing processes completed in Europe. They connect to users’ network and MPS programme software straight out of the box and offer 6-month (Katun Access) and two-year (Katun Certified) warranties. The remanufacturing and refurbishment process is thorough and extensive; a new video details the process on the Katun website.

Katun sadi: “In addition to cost savings and value, this range of 13 eco-friendly Samsung, HP and Lexmark printers reinforces Katun’s support of a circular economy model, promoting the reuse of materials and reducing waste destined for landfill.”

According to a comparison analysis based on the Life Cycle Assessment study (under ISO 14044:18) and external peer review, the overall environmental impact of producing a remanufactured machine is 77% less compared to production of a new printer. Therefore, as well as being a cost-effective choice to purchase a remanufactured machine, it also contributes to the preservation of our planet.
