Canon adds 15 new Satera printer models

May 31, 2023

The new line up from Canon caters to a wide range of business needs, including large-volume output tasks such as distribution and retail and input/output work for telecommuting.

Canon has unveiled its latest “Satera” series of laser printers and multifunction devices, comprising 15 models tailored to various business needs.

The A3 colour laser printer “Satera LBP863Ci” offers multi-stage paper feeding and high-speed printing, explicitly catering to high-volume output work such as distributing retail leaflets. It has a maximum print speed of up to 46 sheets per minute on one side of A4 paper, both in colour and monochrome and a maximum paper capacity of 3,320 sheets, with the addition of an optional paper cassette.

Meanwhile, the compact “Satera MF273dw” is designed to optimise remote work setups. Canon’s objective with this release is to address the diverse input/output demands across different work environments.

The new devices strongly emphasise security with bolstered security features, including measures to detect program tampering during start-up. The printers can seamlessly integrate with external cloud services, promoting efficient document sharing and supporting various work styles, whether in-office or during remote work.

The A3 monochrome “LBP453i,” printer focuses on improving productivity for output tasks by offering a dedicated mode suitable for form printing.

Also released in the “Satera” series are the “LBP244” and “MF467dw” models, streamlining reception and window operations with their high-speed printing capabilities. The A4 monochrome laser printer “LBP244” achieves impressive print speeds of 40 sheets per minute for single-sided A4 paper and 65 sheets per minute for single-sided A5 paper, significantly reducing the printing time for medicine bags in dispensing pharmacies.

The A4 monochrome laser multifunction device “MF467dw” incorporates an automatic document feeder (ADF) that can scan both sides of a document approximately three times faster than previous models. Additionally, it supports scanning small-sized documents like receipts and prescriptions, enabling digitising paper documents frequently used at reception desks. The device also features an “application library,” allowing users to perform routine tasks with a single touch on the main panel, such as quickly saving scanned documents to the cloud or printing data from the cloud.

With the release of these 15 new models, Canon says it aims to provide businesses with a comprehensive range of laser printers and multifunction devices that cater to diverse output and input needs.
