David Fitzsimons has been President of the European Remanufacturing Council since the organisation’s creation in 2017, and has simultaneously been Managing Director at the Brussels-based circular economy consultancy firm Oakdene Hollins for a quarter of a century, taking up the post in June 1994. Prior to this, he was a Business Development Executive at Shanks Group plc, helping to develop the business case for various waste management technologies and systems. 

An alumnus of London Business School and the University of East Anglia, he represents the UK’s Centre for Remanufacturing and ReUse (CRR) at Ellen MacArthur Foundation CE100 meetings and has presented the results of the Horizon 2020 funded European Remanufacturing Network (ERN) project to audiences in Beijing, Shanghai, Paris, Grenoble, Brussels, Croatia and Lithuania.
