Xerox named leader in print security by Quocirca

August 23, 2024

Xerox leads in print security, leveraging zero trust strategies to combat evolving cyber threats.

Xerox has secured its position as a leader in the 2024 Print Security Market Landscape Report by Quocirca, a notable research and analysis firm specialising in the imaging industry. The report, which assesses the print security market, recognised Xerox for its innovative approach to securing print environments, which is a critical concern as organisations face escalating threats to data security.

The report highlights organisations’ ongoing challenges in securing print infrastructure as they adjust to a hybrid workplace. According to Quocirca, 67% of organisations have experienced data losses in the past 12 months due to unsecured printing practices, up from 61% in 2023.

Xerox’s leadership in this space is attributed to its comprehensive suite of security solutions that address the complexities of modern IT environments. The report explicitly highlights Xerox’s implementation of a zero trust security framework, which minimises risks by ensuring that every device, user, and network segment is continuously verified before gaining access to resources. This approach is particularly relevant in today’s hybrid work environments, where the proliferation of remote work has expanded the attack surface for potential breaches.

In addition to its zero trust strategy, Xerox was commended for its advancements in device security, which safeguard multifunction printers against unauthorised access, and its robust fleet management capabilities. These tools provide organisations with enhanced visibility and control over their print environments, reducing the likelihood of security incidents.

Quocirca is a UK-based research and analysis firm specialising in the IT and imaging industries and reports on cybersecurity, print management, and digital transformation trends. Its research helps businesses navigate technological challenges and make informed decisions regarding infrastructure and security.
