The Excelagraphix utilises an array of five overlapping 8.77” Memjet Waterfall printheads, each containing 70,400 nozzles. The device is designed to print high-impact, full-colour, large-format pieces on a wide range of substrates at “screaming fast” speeds.
The printer is capable of printing at 6” per second at a resolution of 1,600dpi, or 12” per second at a resolution of 1,600 x 800dpi.
Robert Ross, CEO of Xanté, said: “The industry has been watching to see what Memjet would do, and Xanté is honoured to be part of an event that is breaking ground and has the capacity to significantly alter the production landscape for the better.”
Mike Puyot, Memjet wide-format president, added: “This partnership combines the best of both worlds. As soon as they saw what they had to work with, both Memjet and Xanté engineers got excited about the exponential value of the pairing.”
Xanté has suggested uses including oversized architectural and engineering documents, maps, indoor signage and newspapers.
Memjet recently released the Machjet office printer in South Korea, partnering with LG.
