Feb 9, 2022 | 0 comments

The waste cartridge processor has confirmed that their Madrid processing plant has been taken offline following a mechanical failure and dust explosion.

The Madrid based Waste Zero World (w0w) cartridge shredding plant has been taken offline following a mechanical failure and subsequent “dust explosion”.

The company Director General, Julio Guerrero Rivero told The Recycler: “Thank God, all people are ok, it was only a shock. In fact, all staff are working since the next day of the incident.”

“It was a minor fire, but it emits a lot of black smoke, which was quickly under controlled. If you see the plant now, the external aspect is good,” Rivero added.

The shredding plant is now being inspected to determine what parts need to be ordered or manufactured and we hope to make the stoppage as short as possible the company said.
