UTAX whisks Partners off to Marrakesh

As part of the company’s incentives programme, which rewards high-performing partners with trips to exotic shores, UTAX has most recently sent some of its target-hitting partners to Marrakesh.

As the company explains, UTAX’s Partner Incentive Trips celebrate and reward key UTAX Partners for reaching specific targets during the financial year, running from April to September.

The latest incentive trip was launched on 1 April 2018 and entry was open to all UTAX Partners. Qualification for the trip was based on the sales of UTAX colour devices in the first fiscal half of FY2019 (between 1 April – 30 September 2018)

17 attendees, from 9 of UTAX’s best-selling partners, were rewarded with the all-inclusive 4 nights, 5 days trip to Marrakesh at the start of February. Regular support from UTAX Sales Managers encouraged those qualifying partners to reach their targets by increasing their UTAX offering to end users, affirms the company.

The luxurious trip gave the qualifying partners the opportunity to experience a once in a lifetime Hot Air Balloon flight to watch the sunrise over the beautiful Atlas Mountains; a city tour by horse and carriage and a traditional Moroccan cooking class.

Reflecting on the success of the Incentive Trip, Shaun Wilkinson, Managing Director, UTAX (UK) Ltd said “The term “partnership” serves as the basis of our co-operation with our authorised dealers, business partners and customers. The Marrakesh Incentive Trip gave us the opportunity to encourage our partners to not only sell UTAX Colour Devices, but to engage with their appropriate Sales Managers, to understand the positive aspects of UTAX devices over those of competitors and in turn to highlight these aspects to their end uses.

UTAX received enthusiastic feedback from its partners regarding their Marrakesh experiences.

Its always great to catch up with some of the other seasoned UTAX incentive winners and also touch base with some new faces. The Balloon ride was a particular highlight along with the many restaurants which allowed us to sample some local dishes (also cook our own) and some fine dining cuisine with some local Birthday traditions thrown in on just a couple of occasions. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable and very well organised trip.”

There’s obviously been so much time and attention paid to this trip. For me it’s always the things you couldn’t do yourself in real life that make an incentive special. You had loads! The cooking class was fun and just something you couldn’t do without the numbers. I loved all the restaurants we went to. Not one served a single dish that wasn’t excellent. But the best part had to be the hot air balloon at dawn! It will never leave me… something I’ve always wanted to do and a tick in the box.”

Based on the feedback from those in attendance, the 5 day event was“a fantastic success. The group of high performing partners had the opportunity to network with like-minded partners and share their experiences in a relaxed environment. Not to mention, the Hot Air Balloon activity, which was truly memorable for all,” adds Sarah Mackay, Head of Operations.

Following the success of the Marrakesh Incentive Trip, UTAX will continue to offer incentive trips, with plans for the next FY19 trip, rewarding sales for the second fiscal half, to be a similar all-inclusive affair to Malta and to follow a trip to the stunning Mauritius in FY20.

Further details regarding the qualification process for Mauritius will be released to authorised UTAX Partners in the coming months.
