US reseller accepts Canon dongle GEO

Zinyaw, which operates under the name TonerPirate.com, has accepted an injunction from the Southern Director of New York in relation to certain toner cartridges and drum units for use in Canon and HP laser printers.
The General Exclusion Order (GEO) prohibits it making, using, selling and importing into the US certain “toner cartridges and photosensitive drum units” that Canon alleged infringed US patent numbers 8,280,278, 8,433,219, 8,437,669, 8,494,411, 8,630,564, 8,676,090, 8,682,215, and 8,688,008.
Canon was awarded a GEO in the longstanding ‘dongle’ case last month, with the cease-and-desist orders affecting companies including Acecom, Inc.-San Antonio, Do It Wiser LLC, Grand Image Inc., Green Project, Inc., Nectron International, Inc., Online Tech Stores, LLC, Printronic Corporation and Zinyaw LLC.
