The company has launched a wide range of monochrome and colour toners and components for remanufacturing a selection of the OEMs’ cartridges.
The first Samsung launch was Absolute Black toner and components for the OEM’s ProXpress M4580 MFP, which is a monochrome MFP with a print speed of 47ppm and “targeted for large workgroups”, and which includes “novel features” including a dual-scanning document feeder and tablet-style LCD touchscreen. The printer also includes a long-life drum cartridge (MLT-R303) rated at 100,000 pages, as well as a high-capacity toner cartridge (MLT-D303E) rated at 40,000 pages.
Uninet stated that “this is a potentially very profitable cartridge and considered easy to remanufacture”, because only the “toner and smart chip” need to be replaced, and it added that it “offers a complete product solution to serve the needs of remanufacturers of these cartridges”. The second Samsung launch meanwhile was Absolute Colour toner and components for the ProXpress C2680, 2670 and 2620 MFP, with the machines coming in single-function and MFP versions.
The C2680 printer and 2620 MFP are “based on the same colour print engine, and use all the same supplies”, with the printer-only 2620 featuring a print speed of 27ppm, duplexing and a resolution of 9,600 x 600dpi. In turn, the 2680 MFP “includes the same features”, but can also copy, scan and fax, with all three devices including compatibility with the Samsung Mobile Printing app.
The toner cartridges used in each are all-in-ones, with the black (CLT-K505L) rated at 6,000 pages and the colours (CLT-C505L, M505L and Y505L) all rated at 3,500 pages, and Uninet pointed out again that it “offers a complete product solution” for remanufacturers of these cartridges. The third and final Samsung launch was Absolute Black toner and components for the ProXpress M4080 MFP and M4030 device, with the two monochrome printers including “common features” and speeds of 42ppm.
The printers again include compatibility with the Samsung Mobile Printing app, as well as “encryption technology”, while the M4080 MFP can copy, scan and fax. The toner cartridge is again an all-in-one rated at 10,000 pages (for the MLT-D201S) and 20,000 pages (for the MLT-D201L), with Uninet once more offering a “complete product solution” for remanufacturers.
Finally, the company launched Absolute Black toner and components for Sharp’s MX503, 453, 363 and 283 monochrome copiers, which all form part of the OEM’s Advanced Monochrome Workgroup Document System line. All four are based on the “same print engine with the same features”, and vary in speed from 28ppm (the MX283) to 50ppm (the MX503). Other features include dual scanning and 11” x 17” printing, with the printers aimed at “large workgroups working in high volume applications”.
Toner cartridges for the printer (MX560) are rated at 40,000 pages, while developer (MX-500NV) and photoreceptors (MX-500NR) are also available, and Uninet additionally “offers a complete product solution” for remanufacturers of the cartridges.
