September 21, 2011 The two companies follow a host of companies in California and the region of Santa Clara in being awarded the position by the Basel Action Network. eLoop, a collector and recycler based in Pittsburgh, will use the e-Steward accreditation to expand into both the State College and nearby town Lancaster, to hopefully stem the flow of e-waste. Com 2, based in Carol Stream in Illinois, also operates as an e-waste recycler, and has recently added the ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and R2 standards necessary to attain e-Steward accreditation.
