Static Control release HP 364/ 564 ink chips

September 21, 2011

Following several years of development, Static Control announced at Focus on Europe the release of the new HP 364/ 564 ink chips that will enable the cartridge type to be open for remanufacturing.

The chips will not be a “spent chip” that will force the printer to read several errors including an automatic read of no ink and encourages mishandling of the printer and an increased risk of damage.

The chip will also not be available for sale for us with compatibles and newbuilds.

Robert Grafton, Ink Specialist, commented at the conference: “This is a substantial development. It isn’t the availability of cartridges, it isn’t the ink, it isn’t anything else; the most challenging thing right now are the chips and now we have another cartridge we can remanufacture.”
