Static Control’s Customer Support Technician Alejandro Casillas and Sales Executive for Eastern Europe Angela Shekyls address attendees at the first seminar of 2015 in Tirana, Albania

The seminar took place on 28 February at the Hotel D’Oro in Tirana, with over 25 companies attending including “remanufacturers, resellers and government institutions” from the surrounding region. The event featured a “wide variety of product and industry information” as well as “numerous technical demonstrations” given by Customer Support Technician Alejandro Casillas.

Feedback from the event revealed that “everyone in attendance said they would plan to attend another Static Control seminar in the future”, with Nijazi Huruglica of Kosovan remanufacturer Alteco finding the seminar “especially helpful”, adding that “the technical demonstrations have helped us understand the quality issues which can be avoided by using the right components and techniques. We thank Static Control for its efforts”.

Angela Shekyls, Static Control’s Sales Executive for Eastern Europe, also spoke at the seminar, and commented: “Our customers were certainly interested in the IP and legal information presented, as every single one of them classified compliance with OEM patents as important to their business. ColorControl was particularly relevant to the representatives from the Ministries of Defence and Transport in attendance. We hope that focusing on the importance of consistent colour quality over price will have had a positive influence when decisions on future tenders are made.”

Jason Doran, Static Control’s General Sales Manager for Europe, stated: “At Static Control we are dedicated in our support of genuine remanufacturing across all European territories. I have every confidence that the interest created from the seminars in 2014 will continue to grow, and it was a privilege to take this year’s first step by opening the programme in Tirana.”

Seminars are free of charge to Static Control customers, and future events are planned in Germany, Georgia, France, the UK and Hungary “in the coming weeks”, with those interested in details on further seminars asked to visit the company’s event’s page at http://www.scc-inc.com/aboutus/events.aspx.

The Recycler reported on the free seminars hosted by Static Control last year, including events in Croatia and Serbia, Italy, Latvia, France, Romania, Poland and Greece. Static Control added that the 2014 seminars were “well-received by attendees”, adding that “each date provided remanufacturers with the opportunity to meet with Static Control’s sales and technical professionals in person, and discuss new cartridges, components, technologies and industry talking points”.

The original programme was announced in March last year, and was expanded in September.
