Static Control addresses plastics issue
December 21, 2018
Static Control has investigated a recent allegation that the plastics used in some of its cartridges may have been contaminated with an unauthorised substance.
The investigation disclosed the majority of Static Control cartridges were in compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and that a small number of cartridges contained an unauthorised substance in the plastic moulding.
Static Control determined this contaminated plastic came from a rogue raw material supplier. Static Control acted immediately to remedy this issue in the affected cartridge lines. As of today, Static Control has eliminated the contaminated plastic from these cartridge lines and has taken the necessary actions with the vendor to ensure no further compliance issues occur.
Static Control will continue to be diligent in ensuring that all its cartridge and component products are fully compliant with all applicable environmental regulations from the various regions of the world.
