IT management vendor Spiceworks has implemented an automated ink and toner program that can remind users of the need to restock consumables, as well as purchase new ones, ReadWrite Enterprise has reported.
Users are able to monitor levels, set levels for alerts and enable automated purchasing of refills.
The program links consumers to both OEM and third-party cartridges as options for replacements, and features community product ratings and reviews.
The program is currently only available in the US, although it will be launched worldwide later in the year. Spiceworks notes that its software is already used on 10 million devices worldwide, with the aim of increasing this.
