Saline Patch interviewed Founder and President Maggie Stevens about the company’s work in the remanufacturing industry, with Stevens noting that she “helped to start” the business in March 1990 after leaving IBM in Tuscon in 1989, returning to the Michigan city of Ann Arbor to “start a laser printer toner cartridge remanufacturing business”.
Her brother Mike “Bud” Stevens joined the company as a full-time employee in December 1991, with Stevens adding that the locating of the business in Saline was due to them both living nearby and “our children attend[ing] Saline schools”, and the location chosen for “convenience and [a] less hectic environment”.
Noting in turn that the company’s most popular product is “remanufactured toner cartridges”, Stevens added that it recently introduced a new service “that monitors your printers remotely, and we automatically deliver your toner about seven days before you run out”. The company sells both remanufactured toner and inkjet cartridges as well as OEM original consumables, and services and repairs HP laser printers.
Stevens also stated to the news outlet that she wants the business to be best known for “quality products and excellent customer service” as well as “free local delivery” to customers.
