John Sheehan has been promoted to this new role, replacing Laura Blackmer, who is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities.
Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Company, has announced the appointment of John Sheehan to the role of Vice President of Channel Sales, a promotion that comes as Laura Blackmer departs the company to pursue new opportunities.
Mr Sheehan has 25 years of experience in B2B sales to bring to his new position at Sharp, having previously led sales organisations at both LG Electronics and NEC Display Solutions. He has “proven successful in creating and implementing sales strategies, increasing marketing ROI and driving revenue growth.”
He became a Sharp employee in 2013, becoming the leader of the company’s Professional AV and IT Channel Sales Teams and achieving “considerable success”, leading to the expansion of his role this year “to include responsibility for the document business channel sales for Sharp’s Central Region.”

Sheehan’s new job description will include “managing both the IT/Professional AV teams as well as the document channel sales teams”; in addition, “he will manage the regional dealer sales teams, government and national account sales teams” and be responsible for the “field service, solutions and training teams.
