ITWeb reported on the new machines, which Samsung SA stated will “drive productivity for SMEs, offering cost-effective printing while placing high value on infrastructure efficiency”.

The two machines are fitted with its web-based open platform software, 4.3-inch colour touch screens, 1GB of memory, scan-to-cloud functions, SD card slots and extra high-yield toner cartridges that allow users “to increase work productivity while keeping costs down”.

These cartridges print up to 15,000 pages, whilst an environmentally-friendly eco-driver reduces energy consumption by 20 percent. Both printers also feature print speeds of up to 40ppm, as well as print resolutions of 1200 x 600 optical dpi, which Samsung adds is “twice that of competitors”.

Mike van Lier, Business Unit Leader for Enterprise Business at Samsung SA, stated: “Samsung has released XOA Web to expand the number of devices from low-end A4 laser printers to high-end A3 MFPs that are compatible with various B2B solutions.

“We are continuously looking for opportunities to broaden the solution offering and the availability of products that support XOA. Samsung is, therefore, strengthening its position in business markets to assist enterprises, channel partners and independent software vendors to utilise, sell and develop customised solutions.”
