Ricoh releases desktop monochrome laser printer and MFP

ricohsp311dnwThe Ricoh SP 311DNw printer and SP 311SFNw MFP feature embedded WiFi for more flexible connectivity options.

Azooptics.com reports on the launch of two devices from Ricoh Americas Corporation, designed to enable users to print in home offices and small business environments “without requiring an optional wireless card”.

The printer and MFP are able to print at speeds of up to 30 pages per minute at up to 1200 x 600 dpi resolution, either via a wireless connection or standard USB 2.0 or Ethernet connections. The SP 311SFNw MFP has print, copy and fax capabilities as well as enabling users to scan in colour; featuring a four-line LCD control panel with alphanumeric keyboard designed for simple programming with eight “Quick Dials”. The device also includes ID Copy workflow to enable easy imaging of identification cards onto a single document.

Jason Dizzine, Vice President, Technology Marketing at Ricoh, commented: “The demand for full seamless capabilities and affordable personal laser printing for small business and home office environments remain strong. Expect to see embedded wireless capability in more Ricoh devices as we expand our portfolio for this market.”

The Ricoh SP 311DNw printer is available now at a price of $167 (€123), while the SP 311SFNw MFP is available for $315 (€233).
