The company’s digital monochrome multifunction printer has scooped a German Design Award in the “Computer and Communication” category.
Today Ricoh revealed that it had been awarded a German Design Award in the “Computer and Communication” category for its MP 2555/3055/3555/4055/5055/6055 digital monochrome multifunction printer series.
The printer was designed to “achieve both usability and aesthetic appeal” while combining functions that are both “simple and comfortable”. The differently coloured input and output trays have been tailored for easy scanning, copying and printing, while the touch screen user interface is “similar to using a smartphone.”
Additionally these printers have a paper feed tray that is designed for both “overhand and underhand grip”, making them easy to handle.
The German Design Awards are a prestigious international design award first founded in 1953 and recognise “products with outstanding designs” around the world.
