The Malay Mail reports on Ricoh Malyasia’s release of the Aficio SP 100e series of compact black and white printers, which are designed for SMBs and home users and boast print speeds of 13 pages per minute.
The three newly released printers are the SP 100e (RM299) compact black and white printer, the SP 100e (RM499) multifunctional printer and the SP 100e (RM669) multifunctional printer, which has an added G3 fax functionality.
Ricoh claims that the printers are “as slim as a standing smartphone” and weigh between six and nine kilograms. They also all come with a “plug-and-play” function to ensure “convenience and mobility”.
Samuel Ho, Deputy Managing Director of Ricoh Malaysia commented: “Ricoh is moving forward with new thinking and new ways of improving lives be it for large corporations to small businesses, to make their work processes simpler and more effective.”
To promote the launch of its new printers, Ricoh’s marketing strategy tied in with the newly released “The Dark Knight Rises” film, with Ho explaining that the strategy will be “very creative and trendy to appeal to the young entrepreneurs, students and more.”
He continued: “Tying up with this anticipated blockbuster movie is a strategic move as we feel that our product is synonymous to the movie, portraying innovation and mobility.”
