Ricoh stated that its Turkish subdisiary had “signed an agreement for the business and certain of the assets” belonging to Ofisteknik to be transferred, with the agreement now pending the approval of Turkey’s Competition Board. Ofisteknik is a distributor of office and production printing equipment in Turkey, and was already a distributor of Ricoh products/
The OEM noted that its intention is to “ensure its extended team in Turkey will focus on transforming the business document processes of its office clients and work closely with production printing businesses in Turkey to support them as they grow their client services and increase profitability”. Production printing customers will enjoy “increased access” to a support programme, whilst office clients will be able to utilise Ricoh’s MDS, IT services and outsourcing technologies.
Akira Oyama, CEO of Ricoh Europe, stated: “We are excited to be expanding our services for the office and production printing businesses in Turkey. We look forward to working with them as they shape their digital strategies and optimise business critical processes for future growth.
“Our expansion also provides more opportunities for us to enhance the relationships with our distribution partners in Turkey as they grow the products and services they are providing to their clients. The large appetite for new digital technologies allows Ricoh and its partners to contribute to growing the overall market in Turkey for digital office and production printing solutions.”
