Redeem partners with Grow Movement

Redeem, the recycler of mobile phones, and Grow Movement, the charity that supports African entrepreneurs are working together to make a difference.

Redeem will work to support the charity as a donor over the next year, and will be providing pre-owned smartphones and laptops so that the African entrepreneurs can connect with their consultants and improve business. The recycling company is also “carrying out internal fund raising events to raise money for Grow Movement” and in August 15 employees raised £2,000 (€2,247/$2,495) by climbing the three highest mountains in the UK in 24 hours. Redeem is transitioning from a purely UK-based recycling company into Europe’s “largest mobile phone re-commerce services business”.

Grow Movement is a non-profit organisation that supports African entrepreneurs by “matching them to leading business consultants” from around the world. These consultants volunteer their time and expertise over the internet in web conferences. The movement was founded in 2009, and has helped over 1,000 entrepreneurs improve their business, resulting in the creation of over 2,000 jobs in and around Uganda, Rwanda and Malawi. There are 1,100 business consultants who have volunteered their services.
