October 17, 2012 Visions & Trends reports that Quill.com’s national Ink and Toner Recycle Program, launched in 2011, has seen more than one million ink and toner cartridges recycled this year. The programme enables customers to recycle cartridges “essentially from their desks” by downloading a free pre-paid mailing label and mailing the cartridges to Quill.com. After two weeks, Quill.com pays $2 per cartridge, up to $20 per month, into the customer’s Quill.com account which they can go on to use on their next purchase from the company. Once Quill.com receives the used cartridges, they are either reused as remanufactured cartridges or their parts are broken down to be used in the manufacturing of other office supplies. Sergio Pereira, Vice President of Merchandising, Quill.com commented: “Through the Quill.com Ink and Toner Recycle Program, customers can help reduce environmental impacts from used cartridges and find great value in their on-going purchases of ink and toner.” Categories :
