Paperworld has record applications

May 20, 2016

paperworld 2015-1More than 1000 exhibitors have registered for this year’s event already.

The exhibitors are from more than 50 different countries and Michael Reichhold, Director of Paperworld, said that “this is a new record for applications.” The event is considered to be the “most important platform in the sector to introduce […] new products and innovations”. More than 36,700 retailers and buyers annually visit Frankfurt to place orders for the new season at the beginning of the financial year.

“We are delighted with this very high interest in the fair. It shows us that the market sees and values the way that the world’s leading trade fair for the paper, office supplies and stationery industry is being systematically further developed, together with its partners in trade and industry” said Reichhold.

The paper and stationary products for private use will be on show 28 to 31 January 2017. Frankfurt hosts eight halls at its exhibition center which the many companies represented will be making good use of. Next year the Remanexpo Product group will again be located in Hall 6.0.

Companies who have already registered to return to the Paperworld include: Biuromax; Creative Imaging Technologies; General Plastic Industrial; ITP; MML; Triton Precision Engineering; Uninet Imaging; 3T Supplies/Peach; Zhuhai Gikar Industrial; and Speed InfoTech.

This year’s event saw over 1,608 exhibitors and 36,773 visitors from over 139 countries, with exhibitors said to be “pleased with new contacts, order patterns and [the] internationality” of the visitors to their booths”. Exhibitor and visitor surveys showed that “real innovations and novelties”, alongside “positive order patterns”, created a “positive mood” among exhibitors at the event.

In terms of an exhibitor breakdown, there were 59 countries represented, with 261 from Germany and 1,347 from abroad, while the “number of overseas visitors has evolved positively” as well. The biggest visitor countries were Italy, Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, Spain, the USA and Greece; while many new visitors came from turkey, Ukraine, Colombia, Argentina and Iran. In turn, 73 percent of visitors were said to be executives, and this high quality was said to be “a key reason for the high level of exhibitor satisfaction” when surveyed.
