Paperworld business matchmaking expands

November 7, 2016

The service, which was first introduced in this year’s Remanexpo product group, has now been expanded to the whole Paperworld event.2015_Paperworld

The Recycler reported last year that the business matchmaking programme had been introduced for the Remanexpo product group alongside a business lounge, with the matchmaking said by Paperworld’s organisers, Messe Frankfurt, to be an “attractive programme to promote business relationships”, set to “bring together demand and supply from the trade and industry”.

The matchmaking programme was aimed at “efficiently bring[ing] together demand and supply”, and also give exhibitors “the chance to gain new customers” and give visitors “the opportunity to find valuable new suppliers”. Both groups were able to “make targeted contacts and initiate potential business relationships even before the fair begins” by entering product information and interests on an online platform.

The information provided allowed attendees “with the potential to become business partners” to be “brought together by a trained team and a computer-aided programme”. Appointments were arranged by the computer-aided tool by “taking account of the needs of both sides”, and allowing attendees to “make the best possible use of their time at the fair”.

The service was “free of charge for all participants” this year, and Digital Imaging (German) has now reported that the programme has been extended “to the entire Paperworld” event after its “successful premiere in the Remanexpo segment”. The programme will now support “more than 1,500 exhibitors” from across the Paperworld event, will remain free of charge, and those already with a ticket can log in to the service, with others able to “register in advance”.

Paperworld’s official website noted that the website link for the registration page “will be vailable from mid-November onwards”, and that the service “fosters contact between manufacturers and buyers even before the trade fair begins”. For the entire Paperworld show, the matchmaking team will be “available on-site to offer assistance” in the foyer of Hall 4.1

Michael Reichold, Director of Paperworld, stated ahead of this year’s show: “The business matchmaking programme is distinguished by simplicity and highly effective results. Initial discussions in the Remanexpo sector were characterised by a very positive echo. Many exhibitors are interested and looking forward to a programme that promotes business relationships. We expect to continue on this successful course and are very pleased to say that many renowned national and international companies have already signed up as Remanexpo exhibitors in 2016.”

The show next year will take place from 28 to 31 January in Frankfurt, Germany, and a wide range of industry companies are already confirmed for the event as exhibitors, with strong interest shown in the event. Previous exhibitors have already received an email containing a personal link to registration as well, and you can register for the event here.

In May, The Recycler reported that the entire Paperworld event has seen a record number of exhibitor registrations, and The Recycler reported that over 100 exhibitors have been confirmed for the Remanexpo product group at the event. This year’s event saw over 1,608 exhibitors and 36,773 visitors from over 139 countries.

A call for papers has also been launched for the REMCON conference. The Recycler reported on the event in Frankfurt here, here, here and here; and a full report from this year’s Remanexpo can be found in issue 280 of The Recycler.
