New printers launched by OEM targeted at medium to large enterprises.
The Star Online reported on the release of OKI Malaysia’s three new printers based on LED technology which the OEM hopes will strengthen its A4 mono workgroup offerings.
The B721dn and B731dn monochrome printers and ES7400 colour MFP are aimed at medium and large enterprises; with the two monochrome printers offering print speeds of up to 47 pages per minute and 52 pages per minute respectively, and the first page taking under five seconds to print. The printers also support 18,000 page and 25,000 page toner cartridges, with the B731dn able to handle a large capacity 36,000 page toner cartridge.
Further features of the two printers include a paper tray with capacity for 630 sheets, an Ethernet port and automatic duplex printing, and print resolutions of up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. They also offer security features including encryption, secure erase and print job accounting.
The ES7400 colour MFP, meanwhile, enables users to print, scan, copy and fax; with print speeds reaching 40 pages per minute at resolutions of up to 1,200 x 600 dpi. The device also boasts advanced security features such as IP filtering and secure print; and is compatible with the open application programming interface platform smart Extendable Platform (sXP), allowing both customers and solution partners to create custom solutions, including document management workflow.
In terms of cost, the V721dn and N731dn will be available from August for RM3,650 ($1,152/€884) and RM4,399 ($1,388/€1,066); while the ES7400 will only be available to corporate users via a pay-per-print agreement under OKI’s MPS programme, with customers required to pay RM200 ($63/€48) per month for a five-year contract and each black and white printout costing three sen. An A4 colour print out, meanwhile, will cost 50 sen.
