The devices include the MC760, MC770 and MC780, which are all available in a standard model (the dn) or a model complete with internal finisher (dfn). The OEM states that the range will be aimed at the medium to large workgroup market, and will help organisations to “take control of their document workflow”.

The machines are also said to provide “additional levels of business productivity” and “document management” as well as “precise configuration […] for optimum print effectiveness”. OKI Europe adds that it has seen its business products “well-received” by customers and in turn has “increased market share” in the region.

The series’ “open platform” allows customisation of the machines’ user interface, which in turn offers document integration that might provide lower costs and improved productivity, whilst software for device management is also contained within each of the machines.

In terms of technical features, the machines come with a 23 centimetre LCD screen, print resolutions of 1200 x 600 dpi, duplexing as standard, a paper capacity of 630 sheets and internal memory storage. Toner cartridge lifespans are said to be 6,000 or 11,500 pages in colour and 8,000 or 15,000 pages in black, whilst the machines are equipped with environment-saving features.

The MC760 features a print speed of 28 ppm, and nine seconds in colour or eight seconds in black for a first page. The MC770 features speeds of 34 or 36 ppm and the same first page print times, whilst the MC780 has a print speed of 40 ppm and a first page print time of eight seconds in colour and black.

Henry Takahashi, Managing Director of OKI Europe, stated: “Our new portfolio of A4, colour MFPs combine enterprise-class functionality, security and flexibility with comprehensive document workflow support. This will deliver significant workflow efficiencies and cost savings, as organisations improve the way documents are handled, managed and processed.

“Different organisations have diverse priorities. Some will focus on productivity and efficiency gains, whilst others will look to identify and control print usage or look for an environmentally-friendly solution with low running and maintenance costs. In each case, OKI’s highly flexible range of colour MFPs can be tailored to meet all these differing demands.”

Takahashi added: “In every aspect of the MC700 Series design, our ‘no compromise’ approach has been to offer customers ultra-high productivity with the greatest possible flexibility, allowing our customers to easily configure their print solutions in a way which precisely meets their business needs.

“These enterprise-class MFPs are not only an important addition to our product portfolio they will also significantly strengthen our managed print services offering, building on a strategy to provide products that meet the specific needs of our customers.”
