The United Kingdom Cartridge Remanufacturers’ Association (UKCRA) voted in a new Chairman, Support Committee Member and Treasurer at its event last week.
I-Tel Supplies’ Mel Gauci took over as Chairman from Promax Imaging’s Chris Brooks, while Promax’ Tim Parsons took on the Treasurer role from GreenCat’s Gerry Barnes. Wta’s Lee Fowler was appointed as a Support Committee Member, while Kleen Strike’s Laura Heywood again took on the role of Secretary.
The meeting took place at the Novotel in Coventry, England on Thursday 30 June, starting with an open discussion of potential impacts on the remanufacturing industry in the aftermath of the UK leaving the EU. Ken Lalley, Static Control Europe’s Managing Director, gave a talk called The industry – where next?, while Uninet Imaging Europe’s Managing Director, Zoltan Matyas, also spoke about digital marketing, and why it offers a big opportunity to remanufacturers, as well as covering what companies need to do to take advantage of it.
The meeting also covered the association’s attempts to get clarification from the Environment Agency on three issues affecting the industry, and you can read a full round-up and report from the meeting in issue 285 of The Recycler.
