Epson America, Inc. has announced the launch of two new small-in-one printers, said to be “ultra-slim” with an “ultra-powerful performance”, using the OEM’s MicroPiezo printing technology and Claria Premium inks to print either at home or remotely from a tablet or smartphone through Epson Connect.
The Expression Xp-810 and XP-610 feature built-in WiFi for network-free printing and have built-in memory card slots for PC-free printing. They also allow automatic duplex printing and offer creative tools such as a dedicated photo tray, auto photo correction tools and direct CD/DVD printing.
The XP-810 has a 30-page auto document feeder (ADF), a 3.5 inch touchscreen with gesture navigation to ease set-up and operation, and an auto-extend paper output tray. It also supports specialty paper through its rear paper feed and has time-saving templates for printing lined school paper, graph paper, calendar pages and custom note paper with personal photos.
In terms of print speeds, the device can reach 14 ISO ppm for black and 11 ISO ppm for colour, and is also able to print borderless 4” x 6” photos in up to 12 seconds; with scanning resolutions of up to 400 dpi. The XP-610 meanwhile can print at speeds of 13 ppm in black and 10 ISO ppm in colour; scanning at resolutions of up to 2400 dpi.
Joe Keller, Product Manager, Consumer Ink Jets at Epson America, Inc., said: “Expression Premium Small-in-Ones are designed to provide busy households and photo enthusiasts with a powerful creativity tool, packing a robust feature set and unbeatable photo quality into an ultra slim design. With comprehensive wireless capabilities and Epson Connect mobile printing solutions, it’s now easier than ever for consumers to print from the home or anywhere in the world.”
The Expression Premium XP-610 is available from mid-September at a cost of $149.99 (€113), while the XP-810 is priced at $229.99 (€174).
