Five new products from Static Control

February 6, 2013

Static productFive new products announced by components manufacturer.

Static Control has announced the release of five new products for cartridge remanufacturers, including a system of imaging components for HP LaserJet Pro Color 200 M251/M276 MFP cartridges consisting of toner, Odyssey drum with the company’s patented ZeroTwist gear technology, NeverTAB PCR, wiper blade, chips, shipping protector, seal and tools; all of which have been manufactured to work together for optimum performance and consistency.

Four new sets of gapping shims for colour doctor blades in a number of HP and Canon cartridges have also been released by Static Control, replacing gapping tools that the company states can be cumbersome to use and inconsistent. The shims are sold in 100-count packs and attach to the cartridge so remanufacturers only have to screw the doctor blade into place for “consistent positioning 100 percent of the time”. Static end plate

A further product release from Static Control is an end plate for HP CP5525 and CP5225 colour cartridges that is said to reduce the amount of time remanufacturers require for post-testing as it eliminates the need to partially disassemble the cartridge once the test is completed.

The company states that the new end plate is different to OEM end plates as it has an exit port for the seal pull strip, something that is absent in OEM end plates which require remanufacturers to wrap the end of the seal pull around an internal gear for automatic seal pull by the printer when installed for use. In addition, using Static Control’s end plate eliminates the need to separate the hopper and waste bin sections to reinstall a gear needed for the automatic seal pull function and then to reassemble the two sections after post-testing; and does not require the end user to manually pull the seal at the time of installation into the printer.

New high-yield toner and chips for Dell 2150/2155 and Xerox 6500/6505 cartridges are also now available from Static Control, enabling low-yield cartridges to be remanufactured as high-yield cartridges without modification. The company also offers toner filler weights specifically matched to the cartridge yield because the mechanical toner low/toner out sensing system does not recognise if the cartridge is over-filled or under-filled.Static gapping shims

Finally, Static Control have introduced a new replacement waste bin that is able to convert remanufactured colour cartridges used in HP CP3525/CM3530 printers into cartridges for use in HP LaserJet Enterprise Color 500 M551/M575 printers and MFPs, which the company states are harder to find and costly. The replacement waste bin will therefore help to save time and money for remanufacturers as they would not have to wait for empty 500 series cartridges to become available.
