Described as compact yet heavy-duty as well as intuitive and easy to use, the new MFPs are able to produce text and images at resolutions of up to 600 dpi at print speeds of up to 20 pages per minute and 18 pages per minute respectively.
Xerox states that the printers enable users to electronically set and sort their desired page order, minimizing the need to manually collate high-volume printouts and saving time. The amount of paper used can also be reduced with the Multiple-Up function, which prints up to two pages on one sheet and up to four pages on one sheet when in duplex mode.
The DocuCentre printers also feature a Toner Saver Mode, which calibrates toner density according to print or copy requirements, controlling ink usage and maximising replacement schedules. Energy saving features are also emphasised by Xerox, with Deep Sleep mode and Low Power Mode built-in to the printers, which operate on low energy Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) and follow strict International Energy Star Program standards.
Further innovative features include a large user interface and “clutter-free” control panel on the printers designed to allow easy navigation and simple operation for the user, and an apparently unique feature is the ID Card Copy function, which simplifies the process of copying both sides of an ID card onto a single piece of paper.
