New MFP released by OKI for SME market

May 22, 2013

OKIOKI Data Australia’s MC862 multifunction printer designed to satisfy high volume requirements.

The new A3/A4 colour MFP is aimed at mid-market business organisations with high volume print requirements, with the device boasting print speeds of up to 26 pages per minute in colour and 34 pages per minute in monochrome. It has printing, copying, scanning and fax capabilities in high definition colour.

The total cost of ownership is claimed to be reduced as the printer uses large capacity toner cartridges, with OKI maintaining that consistent, high quality output is not compromised. The MFP also includes business features such as a graphical LCD display with simple navigation; and one-touch copy, scan, print and fax buttons, with users also being able to scan directly to clients, email, network PC or USB, thus saving time.

The fax function comes with a paper saving feature that enables users to fax directly from a PC, while incoming faxes can be sent to an email account to save paper and increase document workflow.

Embedded LDAP is a further feature of the device which provides direct access to contact and email data in an existing directory file; and job programming allows users to save time by defining regularly used set-up functions. Furthermore, confidential documents can be secured by encrypting data, and users can convert hardcopy documents into digital content and editable electronic files.

Antonio Leone, Marketing Manager for OKI Data ANZ, said: “The MC862 enables businesses to print on a variety of media which means printing what they need, when they need it, whilst reducing the lead-times and costs associated with outsourced printing.

The MC862 is shipped via OKI distributor, Alloys, and comes with a three-year warranty. Recommended retail pricing is $4,999 (€3,865) excluding GST.
