Indian Television reported on the launch of the new colour MFPs, which include the TASKalfa 1800, 2200, 1801 and 2201 machines under the brand name Kizuna, with the OEM noting that the machines are “simple to install and work with” and are built with “superior print and scan elements”.
The machines are A3 printers containing colour scanners, and each feature a new application called print boxing which “ensure[s] document security and confidentiality” by preventing the machine from printing until a password is entered. The four machines feature print speeds of 18 to 22ppm, and feature internal memory of 256MB, with paper capacity of 300 sheets and power consumption of 385 to 415 watts, the “lowest in the industry” according to the OEM.
K. Swethanarayan, Managing Director of Kyocera Document Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., stated: “The new range will help bring balance of suppleness and business sensibility to users in offices and small-medium businesses.
“We are optimistic of a steady growth this fiscal, and the launch of Kizuna series will help us achieve this. This new range will enable us to offer unique print solutions equipment to the Indian market that will combine speed and outstanding colour into one comprehensive print solution.”
The four machines are available now in India, with prices starting from Rs 45,000 ($737/€537) and ending at Rs. 1,00,000 ($1,638/€1,194).
