Chaos Labs originally begun in 2005 behind closed doors as the company’s internal research group, responsible for manufacturing early stage product prototypes, including the company’s AntiTear Technology and Flash-It Transfer kits reset tool.
The company added that the lab has “quietly developed and tested prototypes” over the last six years, and “solicits feedback on how the technology could be used or improved”.
Current and previous products tested by the group include polymer adhesives, thermobaric coatings and other such laser printer-relevant products.
Metrofuser has revealed the existence of the group in order to invite other companies to join Chaos Labs, as well as working with engineering universities and technology companies to try and improve commercial viability for prototypes and successful models.
Will DeMuth, Chief Operating Officer, stated: “We are expanding the pace and diversity of solution development: opening the doors to outside expertise is the first step.”
Companies interested in the initiative should contact DeMuth, and can do so by visiting the company’s website www.metrofuser.com.
