The 11 “smart” MFPs contain the OEM’s Perceptive Software portfolio of products, in a launch that Lexmark has called “one of the most significant product launches in the company’s history”. The devices include a touch screen providing access to applications intended to streamline processes and “improve producitivity”.
The new devices include the CX510 colour laser, the MX812 mono laser, the MX611 mono laser, the MX410 mono laser and the MS610 mono laser. The colour laser CX510 printer is designed for mid-sized workgroups, offering “professional quality” colour prints utilising the OEM’s colour matching and calibration technologies.
Of the monochrome devices, the MX812 is lauded as the first A4 monochrome printer that prints and copies 66 ppm, with the first page available after four seconds, and is described by the OEM as “the ideal device for large enterprise workgroups who need a workhorse in the office”. Other features include a 25.9 centimetre LCD touchscreen and an extra high-yield toner cartridge with a yield of 45,000 pages.
The MX611 monochrome laser in turn features print speeds of up to 47 ppm, with a first print or copy available in 6.5 seconds, along with a 17.8 centimetre touchscreen and an automatic inline stapler finishing option, which Lexmark says makes it “the only MFP in its class” to offer such a feature.
The MX410 meanwhile prints up to 10,000 pages per month at a print speed of 38 ppm, with first print or copy in 6.5 seconds, and offers the solutions mentioned within a lower price bracket. Finally, the MS610 monochrome laser printer, stated to be the “fastest compact A4 monochrome laser printer”, prints 16,000 pages a month at 47 ppm, with the same solutions featured.
Marty Canning, Lexmark’s Executive Vice President and President of Imaging Solutions and Services, stated of the devices: “The intelligence offered through Lexmark’s devices is a key differentiator, and when combined with our state-of-the-art imaging technology, we are able to provide our customers unmatched capabilities in a solutions portfolio.
“Our innovative, smart MFPs are the backbone to the many workflow solutions we provide, and this close marriage between our hardware and software portfolios is what gives our customers access to unavailable information and improves customer satisfaction.”
