The OEM’s American division has hired the multiple award-winner as its new Senior VP of Dealer Sales.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA Inc has announced the appointment of Laura Blackmer as its new Senior Vice President of its Dealer Channel Sales team.

Blackmer, who has previously held both sales and executive leadership roles at Hewlett Packard, will take on responsibility for driving growth in the OEM’s dealer channel, as well as leveraging emerging market opportunites – such as All Covered, Konica Minolta’s managed IT services arm that it acquired in 2011.

“I’m proud and very excited to be joining Konica Minolta during this time of innovative products and services” said Blackmer, who has won Best Female Executive at the Frank Awards three years in a row, and who will be joining the Colorado State University Business Leadership Council in May of next year.

“I look forward to working with the dealers to drive the evolution of the workplace and bring the future to our mutual customers,” she added.

Rick Taylor, President and CEO of the OEM, said: “Laura is a recognised thought leader in our industry, and I’m confident she will be a tremendous asset toward the growth of our award-winning suite of technologies and solutions, as we continue our transformation into an IT Services and Managed Service business. Konica Minolta is focused on creating value for our dealer partners with strategy and intelligence that fuels their business.”
