Kyocera launches two new A3 MFPs

February 8, 2013

kyocera devicesThe FS-C8525MFP and FS- C8520MFP are designed for remote offices or secure printing.

The OEM noted that the two printers are “based on its Ecosys technology”, and “offer reliability, easy installation and are simple to maintain”, which Kyocera adds “makes them ideal for printing in remote offices or highly secure areas where service staff are not immediately available”.

In terms of details, the FS-C8525MFP and FS-C8520MFP have a “small physical footprint”, feature integrated HyPAS technology that “delivers easily customisable workflows”, and easy setup software. The devices can email scans to set email addresses, and the Ecosys technology gives the printers “a low environmental impact” as they require minimal servicing “as the end-user only needs to replace the toner”.

The OEM predicts a lifetime print cycle of 200,000 pages, or 3,000 pages per month, and states “there is no need for a service or maintenance contract”, which it notes “is a standard requirement for most other A3 MFPs on the market”. An additional maintenance kit is available to expand the printer’s printing capacity, and the Ecosys technology extends to the long-life drums contained within the machines, as well as a 20 percent lower Typical Energy Consumption (TEC) value than the devices they have replaced.

Noriko Ishii, Product Manager at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe, stated: “Kyocera’s new Smart MFPs offer a good solution for small to medium businesses with a small budget, but who want the functionalities and benefits of a professional A3 colour MFP, especially as these attractive models with their compact 360° design are easy-to-use, easy-to-install and easy-to-maintain and have 20% lower energy consumption than the models they replace.

“These products have adopted the reliability of their predecessors, and a low purchase price for an A3 multifunctional combined with running costs similar to an A4 printer or MFP to give exceptional performance for low volume, small office users. We have built on the success of our previous models with the integration of HyPAS to enable Java and Web-based solutions to customise the device and improved ecology standards.”
