The OEM has announced the release of four new A3 inkjet printers that offer multifunctional aspects and services to users. The TASKalfa 3051ci, 3551ci, 4551ci and 5551ci have “superior colour quality” and are designed to “ensure every document stands out”, with print speeds from 30ppm to 55ppm, as well as a time to first print of 4.5 seconds.
Other features of the machines include their fast scanning and finishing speeds, with the OEM’s HyPASTM software platform allowing “easy interface with business applications” including document management and enterprise resource planning. Its LCD panel features ‘touch and swipe’ functionality, and it also has four integrated USB slots for device integration.
On a security basis, the machines have password capabilities, and the 5551ci individually features IPsec and PDF encryption. The machines each feature six customisable colour tables for improved colour matching, as well as a Fiery controller to “cater for the more demanding requirements of marketing and print for pay environments”.
Each device has a paper capacity of 7,650 sheets of up to 300gsm, and folding and finishing options can be utilised in each machine as well. The printers are reportedly able to be set up in just five minutes, with “hassle free” firmware updates included, whilst environmentally the devices feature low energy consumption, low power modes, longlife components and a 600,000 page drum.
Anup Rai, Kyocera UK’s Product Marketing Manager, stated: “Our partners can rest assured that not only have we worked to ensure consistency of high quality colour output, we have also worked hard to ensure the devices are straightforward to support.
“Kyocera’s new range of TASKalfa A3 colour MFDs focuses a great deal on the way our customers want to use products, so ease of use and efficiency have been key design drivers. In fact, with significant functional advances, such as the embedded OCR scan option allowing easy conversion from scan to searchable PDF, we have created a complete solution that is intuitive and supports advanced workflows. These broad feature-sets across this new product family allow Kyocera to fulfil bespoke customer needs.”
