The empties problem, MPS and pricing of overseas products are the topics to be confronted at the UKCRA AGM and Focus on Europe, states Laura Heywood.
The UKCRA AGM will offer members and industry figures an opportunity to discourse with likeminded persons, with Heywood distinctly looking out for “the confidence in knowing we have an active association working for us” during the meeting.
Focus on Europe will also provide a meeting point for a wide range of European companies and figureheads to debate and collaborate. Heywood was positive about “being kept in touch with the latest developments that are or will have an impact on our industry adversely or advantageously.”
On the topics eager to cover, Heywood commented: “Firmware upgrades that preclude remanufactured toners [but] there isn’t just [any] one challenge. They’re all big challenges and are everyday affecting our bottom line.
“The empties problem, the inability to acquire good empties. Managed print service contracts offered by OEMs tying the consumer into three to five year contracts [and] the low pricing of foreign products where either have to match or lose a customer, this is affecting our bottom line every day.”
The Focus on Europe conference takes place at the Holiday Inn Nice from 28 to 29 June, with a host of speakers from the imaging industry discussing important topics concerning the remanufacturing market.
