Southern Europe General Manager Heidi Boller speaks with The Recycler on Katun’s activities within the Italian market and the newly-formed association.
Heidi Boller, General Manager, Southern Europe, Katun Italy, has spoken with The Recycler on forthcoming plans for the aftermarket company and industry association within the Italian market, as well as its committed mission to combat clones.
As with many of ARTI-Italia’s current members, Boller was keen to discuss the influence of ETIRA, commenting: “Katun Italy, and the other ARTI-Italia associates, are active in the Italian market and as such we felt it important to create an Italian association. We will put great effort into spreading the culture of remanufactured products in Italy and in the aggregation of other entities in the same industry that share the same principles, using the ETIRA code of conduct as our inspiration.”
Not only will “commitment to ETIRA’s guidelines, and […] commitment to environmentally sustainable business and intellectual property” be key to participation within the association, Boller added that OEM collaboration was also a direction ARTI-Italia are pursuing: “[We] will reach out to OEMs, to create greater awareness of the use of clones, and of the opportunity that by doing business in a fair and transparent way, companies like Katun Italy are providing opportunities to grow the entire sector in a positive way.”
