The partnership will see Q2 become ILG’s official Business Technology Association (BTA) channel distributor, as well as its sales and marketing partner in the “office machine industry” channel, where Q2 has an “extensive dealer customer base”. Q2 states that it is “one of the fastest growing companies in the industry”, and “specialises” in the development and sales of OEM and compatible parts for copiers, printers and MFPs.

Both companies also noted that their partnership “addresses a need for the office machine dealer to have a one-stop purchasing solution, while ILG’s General Manager Jim O’Connor stated that “the ILG line will complement Q2’s copier, multifunction and printer product offering, and is a natural extension to our companies’ longstanding relationship”.

Neal Becker, Partner at Q2, commented: “The partnership will deliver significant benefits to our customers. Q2 knows first-hand that the ILG product line provides a well-known, high quality printer cartridge alternative. We are pleased to take our relationship to the next level as their official BTA channel distributor. ILG cartridges have the same premium performance that customers expect from Q2 products.”

Earlier this year, ILG revealed that it will sell IBM-branded HP cartridges as part of an “exclusive agreement”, and announced two new appointments last September. The US company was acquired by the Turbon Group in late 2013.
