Total revenue fell to $25.35 billion (€22.47 billion), missing the $25.4 billion (€22.52 billion) forecast, and was apparently hurt by the strong dollar, while the PC and printer business fell by 11.5 percent, Reuters reported.
CEO Meg Whitman said the factors pressurising the PC market will probably continue in the fourth quarter and into the next fiscal year.
HP is due to split into two separate companies – HP Enterprise and HP Inc. – in November 2015. It revealed the board members for the two companies earlier this month, with Whitman being President and CEO of HP Enterprise.
