Also launched were HP Universal Bond Paper, HP Production Matte, Gloss and Satin Poster Papers, Digital News Asia reported. HP launched the PageWide XL series in April 2015, and said the devices could do the “job of two printers in one single device” at speeds of up to 60 percent faster than LED printers. HP said at the time that that XL 8000 would become available in September 2015.
Among the printers included in the range are the XL 8000, 5000, 4500 and 4000, with the 800 featuring speeds of up to 30 A1 prints per minute, alongside two 775ml inkjet cartridges for each colour and six rolls of media measuring around 3,900 feet (1,200 metres).
The XL 5000 reaches speeds of 14 A1 prints per minute, features two 400ml cartridges per colour and four rolls of media, while the 4500 reaches 12 A1 prints per minute and the 4000 eight A1 prints per minute.
