The OEM has released the PageWide XL 8000 series in the Indian market.
Channel World reported on the release of the wide-format machines in the Indian market, which are said to offer the “fastest large-format production printing available” in both colour and monochrome. The site added that the machines do “the job of two printers in one single device” at speeds of “up to 60 percent faster” than mono LED printers, with one new addition a “blueprinter” that can produce translucent prints, white printers and blueprints.
The range includes the XL 8000 printer, the 8000 and 5000 Blueprinters, the 5000 printer and MFP, and the 4000 printer and MFP. The 8000 printer produces prints at speeds of up to 30 D/A1 size per minute, with two 775 millilitre inkjet cartridges per colour and automatic switching; while the 8000 and 5000 Blueprinters can print at speeds of up to 800 and 320 A0 pages per hour respectively.
Additionally, the 500 printer and MFP feature speeds of up to 14 D/A1 size printer per minute, and include two 400 millilitre inkjet cartridges per colour with automatic switching. Finally, the 4000 printer and MFP prints eight D/A1 size prints per minute, but can be upgraded to speeds of 12 D/A1 prints per minute.
Devang Karia, HP India’s Country Manager for DesignJet, GSB and PPS, commented: “Our large-format printing customers are continually exploring ways to improve productivity, streamline workflow and reduce costs. The HP PageWide XL Printers announced today deliver what our customers have been seeking for years and will revolutionise the production printing market, offering affordable, high-quality black-and-white and colour output in a single device at the fastest speeds available.”
