The company is shipping the 54 new models worldwide, and said that they are “designed to provide qualified channel partners the ability to offer higher levels of customization that meet a wider range of customers’ printing needs”. The new MFPs have advanced security features, which are said to be “unmatched in the marketplace” and HP Inc’s PageWide printing technology provides affordable colour and “longer device uptime via HP’s Smart Device Services technology”.
The OEM has signed up more than 500 resellers worldwide in some of the largest and growing market areas, and said that the A3 portfolio will enable it to grow revenue in a $55 billion (€51 billion) channel opportunity. The new MFPs have advanced security features to combat the growing threats to businesses, and incorporate a “comprehensive suite of security features that protect devices, data and documents, creating a layered security approach needed to combat advanced attacks”.
All of the MFPs benefit from the HP Smart Device Services (SDS) “cloud-based proprietary service optimisation platform”, which “delivers maximum device uptime by integrating advanced diagnostics, device specific troubleshooting and remote remediation capabilities into the industry-leading MPS tool sets resellers use today”.
The single and MFP printers have print speeds from 35ppm to 60ppm, and up to 80ppm if in office mode, while the PageWide printers are more sustainable, using one-seventh the energy of other colour laser printers, and have less packaging waste rom supplies and consumables.
Tuan Tran, General Manager and Global Head of Office Printing Solutions at HP Inc, said: “We set out to offer our partners a robust portfolio of A3 MFPs with disruptive technologies and a range of finishing options to meet current and future printing needs. Today, we’re delivering on that promise, along with our mission to continue reinventing the market. Using the vast knowledge we’ve gained through our large-scale commercial printers, we streamlined our designs, improved print speeds and enabled higher-quality printing for a lower cost.”
Aurelio Maruggi, General Manager of A3 Solutions at HP Inc, said: “We worked side-by-side with our partners, discussing their needs, assessing their preferred tools and gaining a better understanding of their business models. This co-innovation not only strengthened our relationships, but had a direct, positive impact on the final portfolio.”
